Blogging Bears

Students at Hadley Middle School in Wichita, Kansas - USA, sent a teddy bear named Ted Hadley to students in Italy. In return, students in Italy sent their teddy bear (Bea) to students at Hadley. The students will be journaling from the view point of their visiting bears. This exchange will help the students practice their English, as well as learn about a different country and their culture.

Bea Goes to Exploration Place

Dear Friends,

I went home with Meagan T. and we did a lot of neat things. I will let you know of some of them. I met her parents and they liked me (which I thought they would since I am being so good). We went out to get some food and I ate mozzarella sticks, they were yummy. (fried cheese with a batter on them).
The next day I went with Megan while she did her preaching work. During a break I ate a chocolate brownie and chocolate milk, it was the best thing. Later we cleaned her room and watched some TV. We both fell asleep since we had a busy day and took a nap. Her parents brought us some dinner when they got home, I had chicken nuggets (small pieces of chicken fried) and some chili. Megan tucked me into bed and we fell asleep.
I also got to play with some of her friends on Saturday. I got to eat a hot dog cooked in a fire pit it was fun to cook the hot dog on a stick inside the fire!! I had to be careful not to get burnt so Megan helped me. I was very exhausted that night.
Sunday we went to church and everyone there wanted to meet me!! I was very popular, they all loved me and said I was cute!! It is hard to stay humble when everyone here loves me so much, but I will try. We spent the night at a friend of Megan's house. We slept in a tent in the backyard. It was fun to camp out. But it started to rain hard in the night so we had to go back inside the house. I ate cereal in the morning and played a game called "Clue" it is a board game.
On Monday there wasn't school for the students so we got to go to Exploration Place. It is a fun place that children (and adults) go to here in Wichita. They have exhibits for people to look at and activities for us to do. I got to color, explore, feel and see a lot of different things. One thing I I really liked was when I drove an airplane!! (But that was in a video game) We went to a restaurant and ate a hamburger and I had a root beer float (it has ice cream in it). It was awesome and yummy. Today was my last day with Megan and we had a lot of fun the 4 days I was with her!!
I am having a lot of fun here and everyone is happy when I get to go home with them. I miss you all. Love, Bea
