Informational Text Features

Today we began reading an informational texts about snakes. What are some text features of informational passages? Explain with thoughtful and complete sentences.

I saw in the text sub-headings, some captions, pictures,and diagrams. I aslo think that this text is really good because it helps me understand more about snakes and what they are about.

That rattelsnakes are the only snakes that have rattels.

Subtitles- Subtitles are to tell you what you will be readind next.
Captions-Captions are to tell you what a picture is about.
Pictures-Pictures are to show you what is happining.
Dock-A dock is something that will tell you what you are about to read.
Bold faced text-Bold faced text are words that are hilighted very dark black to tell you something that is going on or if something is very important.
Hilighted words-Hilighted words are allmost allways vocabulary words.
Title-A title is something that tells you what this informational text is all about.

There were captions,dock,pictures,bold face text,and title. There were alot of text features!
