Is this what I told you to read this summer? Not sure, but it sounds the same.
Anyway, I loved this article. It really made you think as a teacher! How we hold our kids back everyday and how much they are really capable of. I am already doing that this year. Yet they just can't show the control in my class. However, maybe they would show more control if I would give them more digital containers to use !!! What a concept! This goes along with what i am nervous about this year. One step at a time!

I found the comment, "a sense of urgency" to be a fitting comment for the way that classroom teachers should be feeling. Teachers are needing to bump up the technology use to enhance the natural abilities that students already poses. Students are ready...are teachers and school districts?

This article says alot about the immigrants of technology being afraid of what is to come and what is already here. I have held kids back in technology because of my fears, not realizing what kind of damage I may have caused to their learning. I have promised myself that this year I will do more to enhance the learning of ALL of my students. The WANT and DESIRE is already evident in my kids it is just ME who says they are not ready. Letting go of that fear is my goal for this year.
