I am preparing my students to use technology to do things that can't be done with paper and pencil. They are working collaboratively in ways that make them think about their own learning and working to solve problems through varied technology formats. Many of my students don't have access to computers unless they are at school. So, by bringing technology into my lessons is an effort to make their playing field a little more even.

I am just showing them that they can do more than play a game system to have fun. I can not believe how many of of the kids just have the best time moving coins around on the SmartBoard. I feel that I am showing them how to manipulate the use of technology into to supply them with whatever they may need. I wish I had as much knowledge as they right now. I will show them a software program and they will ALWAYS end up teaching me something about it by the end of the lesson. My struggle is coming up with more and more for them.
