Half way through year 2

We are half way through year 2 of the grant, reflect on how you have changed. Share with us several ways being in this grant has changed you as an educator.

  • Last year not really feeling the obligation to complete some tasks, I have grown exponentially! I have become and accustomed to using technology in my every day teaching. Should it be SmartBoard, interactive website, on just searching the web during teachable moments? I really am not sure how I would go back to teaching from a book? The students really benefit from the hands on learning. This class REALLY needs it!

  • my perspective has changed on how i view technology in the classroom. i have sometimes thought the technology would provided review and some real world experiences. now, i'm seeing how using this technology is help students learn content more indepth!

  • Well, I think we could all agree (PVE TRC) that I am the "poster child" for technology. Coming into this district only knowing how to email and being thrown into this Grant was a SHOCKER! But with a little patience and an open mind I feel comfortable with technology and teaching it to strangers! In my professional experience I feel that I am lost if we have no technology!! I use it everyday and it has changed the way I teach. I keep in mind that our students are the future which is technology driven. Thanks Jenny!

  • This grant has been challenging and rewarding! I love the way this grant has stretched me professionally. I am better able to use project based learning and help my students through technology to deepen their understanding.
